I received this product from Jolse.com through one of their reviewer events a while ago and haven't gotten to review this product until now, so without further ado, let's get right into the review.

About the Product

This product is a bubble mask pack that is formulated to eliminate dead skin cells, excess sebum and other impurities in your skin that can block pores and cause breakouts. It also calms weak/sensitive skin and strengthens the skin barrier by adding extra moisture back into your skin. When the ingredients inside the mask react with oxygen, it bubbles up and this helps to improve pore elasticity, therefore reducing sebum secretion (makes your skin less oily).

The key ingredients in this mask pack are calamine, bentonite, centipede extract and tea tree leaf. Firstly, calamine is anti-septic, anti-allergic and anti-inflammatory. It is also a very mild and moisturizing ingredient which can be used even on people with very sensitive skin. Secondly, we have bentonite clay which is a detoxifying ingredient typically used in masks to open up and clean out your pores to help get rid of pimples. Thirdly, we have centipede extract which I'm not too familiar with in terms of the skincare benefits so I'll leave that up to someone else to inform me because I don't want to mislead you guys with any incorrect information. Finally we have tea tree leaf which is one of my favourite skincare ingredients ever. Tea tree oil has strong anti-bacterial and anti-fungal properties which makes it an ideal ingredient for treating acne. It also helps with inflammation which will reduce the swelling of your pimples. Not only that but tea tree oil can also help with healing acne scars and restoring the skin's natural oil balance.

Packaging

This product comes in a white cardboard box with a pink bubble design and green print. The mask pack itself comes in a simple, white tub with pink lettering that tells you the name of the product. As you all know by now, I really like products with a simplistic design and no unnecessary gimmicks in the packaging that will create extra waste. One complaint that I do have about this product, is that there is little to no English descriptions on the packaging which meant I had to find this information online before using the product.

Application

The mask has a spongy, creamy consistency and is a really pretty dark pink colour. I use this mask right after I come out of the shower; I've found. that this is the most effective method because my pores are still open at this time. I will cleanse my face first and pat it dry before applying the mask onto my face. I just use my fingers to apply this mask because I find that it is easier to massage the product into my skin. Just to give you a heads up, this mask does start to bubble up very quickly (within about 30 seconds after you apply it onto your skin) so try to apply the product onto your face as fast as you can. Also, the product can begin to react inside the tub so make sure to seal the tub up, right after you finish using it.

I keep the mask pack on for about 8 minutes (you can leave it on for 5-10 minutes) and than wash it off with warm water. You will know when to wash if off as the bubbles will begin to deflate (see the last picture). I use this about 1-2 times a week because I alternate between this and my Innisfree Super Volcanic Pore Clay Mask. If you aren't using any other masks, than you can use this product up to 2-3 times a week, depending on your skin type.

Results/ Thoughts

This product is very gentle and can be used by people with any skin type. This is the first bubble mask that I tried and I'm really grateful that I got the opportunity to test this product, so thank you to the team at Jolse for picking me! The bubbling sensation feels a bit strange at first but I was kind of too distracted by the puffiness of all the bubbles to notice. When I rinsed off the mask, my pores felt really clean and fresh but my skin wasn't dried out at all. I still like to follow up with the proper moisturizing steps to ensure that no moisture is lost from my skin. Each tub contains 80 mL of product; I've had mine for about a month now and I'm only a quarter of the way through so I would say that this product is a great purchase if you want to try out a bubble mask as it is perfect for all skin types and you definitely will get your money's worth.

Price/ Where To Buy

I've linked the places where you can find this product below. Just click on the name of the store and it will take you directly to the product page.

Jolse $22.40 USD

Korea Depart $18.63 USD

Ebay $22. 30 USD

Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5

I give this product a 4 out of 5 because although it does help clean out my pores, I feel like it doesn't eliminate pimples or help maintain the oil balance of my skin likes it claims. Also, It is kind of a messy product and not ideal for traveling because it is a bit high maintenance. This mask pack is nice for those days where you want to treat yourself and take a little extra time to care for your skin.
