[REVIEW] Laneige Water Sleeping Mask

I'm not usually drawn to using a sleeping mask during the summer months just because they can sometimes feel a bit heavy on the skin. However, the Laneige Water Sleeping Mask was an exception to this. Let's get straight to the review!

About the Product

This product is an overnight sleeping mask that you apply right before bed and wash off in the morning. It is meant to hydrate the skin overnight, so that you wake up with rejuvenated, glowing skin the next day. The formulation of this product is water-based, it has more of a gel-like consistency rather than a cream moisturizer type consistency.

Packaging

The sleeping mask comes in a classic, blue cream container with a screw-on lid that is inside a simple, white cardboard box. Inside the box, there is also a little spatula so that you can sanitarily scoop out the product rather than using your fingers.

Application

I use this product at night right after toning and moisturizing, but it can also be used as a moisturizer on its own, if you wish to do so. I use the spatula to scoop out a dime-sized amount onto my hands and then apply the product to my face. The mask feels really light and refreshing on the skin, which is ideal when faced with the summer heat. It absorbs almost instantly after application and doesn't leave behind a sticky residue.

Results/ Thoughts

This is a very hydrating and gentle product which will be suitable for all skin types. It is very easy to apply and absorbs quickly into your skin. The results are noticeable with just one use. It also has a very pleasant, fresh scent that is not overpowering at all. Also, I believe that this product is "dermatologist tested, noncomedogenic and not tested on animals," for those of you who are concerned about these issues. Furthermore, this mask was a winner of the Allure Best of Beauty award in 2017, so you know that it is a popular product. If you haven't tried this out already, I'd highly reccommend you doing so!

I give this product 5 out of 5 stars because I genuinely loved everything about this product. From the scent, to the consistency to how my skin felt after using it, it really is the perfect product to add into any skincare routine. It is very reasonably priced for the quality of the product that you are receiving and one tub of it will last you for a month or two, depending on how often you use it.
